also finished portal for the first time. starting to get caught up in my math class, and cleaned up the apartment. Still have one more day off. I'm debating going in tonight and getting some cosplay money together. I dunno, i like my days off. haven't decided yet...

I really wish it were new years. then i can file taxes and get a FAT tax return. I need / want the money. That car getting fixed wiped me out.

I'm still on the fence about Left 4 Dead 2. Sure, there's a lot of neat stuff to whack away at zombies with, but it makes everybody run straight into the line of fire and causes a lot of in-fighting. i won't shoot you with a grenade as long as you realize it's more efficient at making zombie-paste than waving a fucking axe around!

got paid 1500 bucks this morning. down to 20. hooray bills!

most of what i had left over after paying people was getting the bumper on my car fixed. NOT CHEAP. Even with insurance i still had to fork over 500 bucks. W/O insurance would have been almost twice that.

I'm going to try to work an extra day on sunday so I can get my cosplay junk ordered for Andy Bogard (wig) and the shoulder holster for Lupin. He also still needs a better (read: more accurate) pair of shoes. That shouldn't be too hard...

so i woke up this morning with a sinus infection, a phone call from my insurance company saying they may or may not cover what had happened, and an email from work "asking" that I work extra time this weekend.

Insurance says that because it was a hit-and-run, there's a lot more paperwork and scrutiny involved to ensure (no pun intended) I didn't do this damage myself. Police report needs to be faxed in, I need to sign a sworn statement and I'm having to use uninsured driver parts of my policy, which carries a larger deductable ($500 instead of $250)

I'm behind in math because i've already worked a 6 day week last week. I'm thinking of telling work "no, fuck off" but I just know that If I don't work extra time I'm going to come back to work on Wednesday with that pile of extra work sitting there for me.

I need the overtime pretty bad. Because of this car-getting-hit-thing, i can't pay the ginormous credit card payment I wanted to pay on, and I have tuition to still pay for. I managed to get a really good days sleep because I had so much Nyquil in my system.

Last year at this time I was getting 1100$ refund checks from my student loans, not paying 500 bucks a semester. Is math really that much more costly than all that b/s gen end i went through? apparently so.

Overclocked the processor from 2.6 to 4.0 Ghz
Replaced RAM w/ 6GB of 1600MhZ 9-9-9-24 Corsair Dominator (may mess with the latencies later depending on ability...i've never done this before...)
Installed Windows 7 (still finding bits and pieces that still need tweaking...)
Installed a 1.5 TB SATA HD

Left 4 Dead 2 demo is wonderful to play. Newbeh! get your ass on Steam and get this demo! I know you can play it with that refrigerator of a computer you have! two words: Guitar Decapitations.

My company is transitioning to AT&T's pay plan in december. I have to re-set up Direct Deposit, wait a MONTH for that to hit, and in the meantime, have checks mailed home. I really hope they get this shit fixed, because I don't want to have to rack up my debt load just paying bills while AT&T decides if they want to pay me.

Been watching quite a few movies lately as my Netflix streams are available at work. Watched Fido, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, Phantasm, and I've got some others lined up. I'm amazed at what is available, and what isn't, though...there are a lot of iconic movies and at the same time...there aren't a lot of iconic movies. Things that make you wonder WHY they put that shit up there in the first place. Who wants to watch Monsturd? Not me.

Working tonight to make some awesome cash for awesome food and awesome gas. I got a new hard drive, should get here tomorrow. 2 TB FTW.
